Make a Difference. Change a Life. Strengthen Our Community.

At The Salvation Army Kroc Center, volunteers are the heart of the mission. When you give your time and talents, you bring hope, encouragement, and support to individuals and families throughout Solano County. Whether you're serving food, teaching children, cheering on seniors, or lending a hand at events, your service helps us build a stronger, more caring community.

Why Volunteer at The Salvation Army?

  • Every hour you give directly impacts lives, meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Volunteering creates meaningful connections and opportunities to grow.
  • Your service inspires others to give back.

Our Mission

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

At The Kroc Center, the mission shines through in everything we do. Volunteers do not need to be Christians to serve, but all share in the mission of compassion, dignity, and love for others. Volunteers are held to the same standards as our employees, including application, background check, child safety training, and orientation.
