Fitness Class Descriptions

CORE & MORE
Combining low-impact cardio with high-energy music, it provides a full-body workout with a specific focus on lower body conditioning that fits a wide range of fitness levels.

ZUMBA
Experience the fun fusion of Latin and International dance music that Zumba fitness incorporates. Build endurance, cardio fitness, and strength with a combination of fast-paced and slow rhythmic dance.

HARDCORE ELITE
Hardcore Elite is our high-energy indoor boot-camp with an emphasis on high intensity interval training. With a fusion of cardio, strength, muscle endurance, core strengthening, and flexibility.

CHRISTIAN CARDIO [FREE] *Church at the Kroc
Get your heart pumping to songs by today's Christian artists and get some words of encouragement from scripture, all while building fellowship through group dance.

CARDIO KICKBOXING
This energetic class incorporates diverse combinations of cardio kickboxing and dance movements. It features a fusion of high-intensity intervals, strength training, and endurance exercises.

GENTLE STRETCH & TONE
Breathing techniques and focused stretches are the core of this class, intended to improve flexibility, balance, range of motion, concentration, and muscle tone.

GENTLE STRETCH
This class is slower paced, focusing on stretching and releasing tension and calming the nervous system. Students practice breathing techniques, and transitioning from one pose to another, mostly on the mat.

STRENGTH & TONE
Flexibility, strength and stamina are the focus of Strength & Tone. Guided stretches and breaths lead to increased range of motion, concentration and muscle tone.

TAI-CHI FOR BETTER BALANCE
Tai-Chi is a series of intentional gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.

KROC SPIN
This high-energy class takes indoor cyclists through intense bursts of speed and cool-downs in between. Beginners to advanced spin cyclists can choose their level of intensity, so all levels are welcome. New students, please come early for proper bike fit.

HIIT: CIRCUIT TRAINING
High Intensity Interval Training, or HIIT, combines intense bursts of exercise with short periods of rest or low intensity activity to improve cardiovascular fitness, build lean muscle, and burn fat.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
Guided exercises using compound and isolation movements will target all major muscle groups, using a variety of equipment, including dumbbells, weighted bars, TRX bands, and resistance bands.


Aquatics Class Descriptions

AQUA AEROBICS
This low-impact water workout focuses on cardiovascular training, muscle toning, flexibility, and coordination. Aqua Aerobics takes place in shallow or deep water based on participants’ preference. The instructor leads participants through cardio movements such as walking, jogging, kicking, cross-country ski movements, and jumping jacks. A variety of equipment is used.

Hello, Kroc Families!
My name is John Dickson, and I am a member of the Sacramento State Hall of Fame. Growing up, I did not have a mentor, so I understand the importance of mentoring the youth and providing the guidance that I didn’t receive. Our Youth Sports Programs are designed to provide a safe and interactive environment that promotes team building, discipline, and a stronger drive towards success.  Our programs are customized to encourage building personal growth, respect, and self-control for young athletes to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

BY PARTICIPATING IN THESE CLASSES YOU ARE AGREEING TO THIS WAIVER
Please read this Waiver carefully as it affects your legal rights in the event of an injury, contraction of a communicable disease, infection and/or damage to property. Participants understand that the use of the facilities and/or services may involve risk of bodily injury, property damage, contraction of a communicable disease and/or contraction of a viral or bacterial infection and agree to assume any such risks. In case of illness or accident at our facility, The Salvation Army Community Center is authorized to secure emergency medical treatment at member/participant’s expense. It is up to the participant to consult physicians and other professionals to make sure that they can safely participate in activities and events offered by The Salvation Army Community Center. Participant also understands and agrees that by registering, they are giving up their right (or the minor for whom they register) to make any claim against The Salvation Army, its agents, employees, and volunteers, including the right to sue them, for bodily injury, property damage, contraction of a communicable disease and/or contraction of a viral or bacterial infection of any type and/or any other loss that they might suffer while using The Salvation Army Community Center facilities and/or services, except as limited by law.
