General Pool Rules
- Foul or abusive language will not be tolerated
- Please use the designated locker rooms and family cabanas to change into or out of swim wear at all times
- Please rinse before entering the pools to remove any lotions, makeup, or perfumes
- Only swim when a lifeguard is present
- Always obey lifeguard instructions
- Only swim attire. No cotton, denim, or undergarments are permitted (if you’re not sure, ask a staff member)
- Prolonged floating on one’s stomach or breath-holding is not permitted
- Children 12 & under must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- No running, pushing, shoulder rides, or dangerous horseplay
- No diving or jumping
- Children 2 & under must wear a swim diaper
- No photography or videography - to protect the privacy and well-being of all participants at The Kroc. Exceptions include private events, and The Kroc staff
- No food or drinks are allowed in the aquatics area
- No glassware is allowed within the aquatics facility
- No animals are allowed except for service animals
- Beginner swimmers need to be within arm’s reach of an adult at all times
- Multiple violations of outlined rules can result in loss of privileges, suspension, or expulsion
- 17 & under are not permitted in the spa
- Aquatic Kroc staff reserve the right to make changes to the availability of a pool as necessary
Lap Pool Rules
- Lifeguards are subject to make necessary changes to lane sharing based on aquatic activity
- Refer to The Kroc’s Lap Swim Etiquette sign regarding proper lane sharing during peak times to ensure everyone has an enjoyable swimming experience
- Anyone engaging in non-lap swimming or aqua aerobic fitness may be asked to leave the lap pool
- Diving blocks are only to be used by Kroc activities
- Hanging or adjusting the lane lines is not permitted by anyone except Kroc staff
- Open access is intended for inclusive recreation/fitness use; any extra personal or group training/coaching/therapy is prohibited (contact the Aquatics Department for group requests or rentals)
- 17 & under must pass a swim test administered by aquatic staff to enter the lap pool
Training Pool Rules
- Lead lifeguards are subject to permit adjustments during adult swim or family swim
- US Coast Guard (USCG) approved life jackets only
- Kickboards/fins/hard balls/torpedoes/small flotation devices and similar equipment are not permitted
- Designated swim toys are allowed but not being used correctly will be taken out by lifeguards
- Jumping is only permitted from the bottom 2 steps
- No hanging on the metal handrails
Swim Lesson Refund Policy
- No makeup lessons will be provided for any/all missed swim lessons.
- No prorated credits, makeup classes, and/or refunds will be issued for partial attendance on behalf of the student in a group lesson within any session due to illness, behavioral issues, or any other reason.
- In the event a group lesson is cancelled on behalf of the Kroc Center for any reason a partial refund equal to the amount of the missed lesson will be issued directly back onto the card used to purchase the class.
- To cancel the entire month’s swim lesson (group, private, and/or semi-private) session:
- No credit or refund will be issued for cancellation requests made after the start of the first day of the swim lesson session.
- Cancellations made at least 1 week prior to the start of the first day of the swim lesson will result in a full refund minus a $10 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made less than 1 week prior to the start of the first day of the swim lesson will result in a credit processed via a Kroc Center Gift Card, minus 50% of the amount paid for the class.
- Swim Lesson credits will be issued via a Kroc Center Gift Card and distributed directly to the participant or parent/ guardian at the Gym Front Desk.
